Martha McNeely MARION–Martha McNeely, 87, of Marion passed away at 7:30 AM, Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Fountain Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Kevin McNeely officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Mrs. McNeely was born on March 6, 1921 in Colp, Illinois to Everett J. and Stella (Crawford) Mangum. She married Clyne McNeely on January 15, 1942 in Arkansas; he preceded her in death in April of 1979. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Mathis of Pinckneyville; grandchildren, Randy, Robert, Patrick, Michael and Julianne; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Doug; grandson, Scott Mathis; sister, Elta Mae Craig; and brother, Everett J. Mangum, Jr. Mrs. McNeely was a member of McKinney Chapel Church. She retired from Olin-Matheson after 30 years of service. She was a 50 year lifetime member of the Eastern Star in Goreville. She loved her grandchildren and she will be missed by all.
