Mark D. Ross

Mark D. Ross, age 52, of Creal Springs, Illinois,  passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri

Mark was born June 01, 1970 in Olympia, Washington, a son of Phillip and Vickie M. (Gasser)  Ross. When he was young his family moved to Las Vegas, NV where he grew up.  In 1991 his family moved to Lake of Egypt and purchased Egyptian Hills Marina, where he worked until they sold the marina in 2004.  He married Karen A. Rhodes on November 28, 2015 in Goreville, IL.  Mark worked as a carpenter for Integrity Roofing for the past 10 plus years.  In his spare time Mark loved to cook, fish, woodworking and building things, gardening and cutting firewood.  

He is survived by his spouse Karen A. Ross of Creal Springs, IL; eight children, Sherri (Trenton) Pulley of West Frankfort, IL, Marissa Ross of Herrin, IL, Skye Ross of IA, Marek Ross of Creal Springs, IL, Luke Williamson of Creal Springs, IL, Trenton Williamson of Creal Springs, IL, Brooke Williamson of Creal Springs, and Lilah Williamson of Creal Springs, IL; five grandchildren, Natalie Pulley, Lincoln Pulley, Raelyn Norris, James Hasty, and Marleigh Hasty; his parents, Phillip L. Ross of WA and Vickie M. Ross of Marion, IL; and one brother, Paul (Mary) Ross of Creal Springs, IL.  

Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL.  Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home with Pastor John Powell officiating.  Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery in Creal Springs.
