Marjorie E. Peebels Marion- Marjorie Erna Peebels, 68, of Marion, passed away at 6:10 PM on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March, 9, 2011 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. A private burial will be held later at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Memorial donations may be made to the Marion Regional Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the Funeral Home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Marjorie was born on February 24, 1943 in Marion to James “Fred” & Erna L. (Eigenraugh) Jennings. Survivors include son, Lyndal G. & Shelia Peebels; step-son, James McClour; grandson, Nathan Peebels; step-grandchildren, Bryan & Jennifer Anderson, Lindsey Anderson & fiancé’ Josh Tabor, Kayce & Mitchell Phinney; step-great-grandchildren, McKenzie Anderson and Madison Anderson; sister, Frieda Meyers; nieces, Robin Thompson, Melanie Meyers & fiancé’ Kevin Jump; great-nephews, Jeffrey Thompson and Jason Thompson; great-niece, Faith Jump. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents. Marjorie spent many years in the retail industry, working for companies such as Tempo, Mor-Value, Wal-Mart and Bud’s. She returned to Wal-Mart and retired from her position there in 2007. She had many friends, many of which she considered her adopted children. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
