Marisela Sanchez

Marisela Sanchez, age 67, of Tunnel Hill, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 5:08 p.m. in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Marisela was born on May 7, 1952 in Mexico City, Mexico, a daughter of Gabriel Sanchez & Ramona Hernandez.  Marisela worked as a secretary for various employers throughout her working career.  Her family was extremely important to her and she would have given the shirt off of her back to help anyone in need.  Marisela was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her partner, Petru Doroscan of Tunnel Hill; one son, Shteffan Doroscan of Tunnel Hill; one daughter, Pyola Doroscan of Dodge City, Kansas; six sisters, Maria Luisa, Leticia, Irma Guadalupe, Silvia Raquel, Sandra and Claudia Lewis and brother in law Chris Lewis; one brother, Javier; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gabriel, brother in law Roberto Becerra and nephew Luis Gabriel Camas Sanchez niece Sophia Gabrielle Lewis.

Marisela’s wishes were to be cremated and her cremains will be scattered in the ocean so that she can move along with the waves.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with the arrangements.
