Marion Neely MARION-Marion Neely, 92, of Marion passed away at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Fountains Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 22, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jeff Odom officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11:00 AM, Friday, December 22, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Mrs. Neely was born May 20, 1914 in Marion, Illinois to John and Myrtle (Wilkins) Freres. Survivors include daughter, Shirley Phemister of O’Fallon; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jerry Emery of Marion; grandchildren, Linda and Charles Heyde, Vicki and Bill Gower, Marianne and Russ Smalley and Teresa and Randy Jack; great grandchildren, Billy Heyde, Melissa Thompson, Jeremy Gower, Kyle Smalley, Jena Smalley and Emily Jack; and great great grandchildren, Collin James Heyde, Aimee Heyde, Cole Heyde, Jessie Thompson and Zoey Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Howard Brush and Novell Neely; sons, Kenneth Brush and James Robert Brush; one brother; and one sister. Mrs. Neely was a retired factory worker, having worked at Kenyan Factory and later American Magnetics. She was of Baptist Faith.
