Thompsonville-Marion E. Kennell, 80, passed away on May 14, 2017 at his home.
Marion was born on January 8, 1937 in Woodford Co. to Peter and Sarah (Keller) Kennell. He married Barbara Miller on September 6, 1987.
Marion was a member of Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church. He retired from the Farm Bureau Board and the Southern F.S. Board. He was the owner/operator of Kennell’s Shoe Store in Eureka for many years. Marion enjoyed building Harvestores for A.O. Smith Harvestore. He also served as an EMT for Eureka Rescue Squad. He loved his farm “Kennell’s Farm” and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; two brothers and daughter, Laura Kennell
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:30am at Cazenovia Mennonite Church with Pastor Dennis Kennell officiating. Burial will follow at Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9am until the time of service at the church. Mason Funeral Home in Metamora is assisting with the arrangements.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion from 5pm-8pm
