Marguerite "Syd" Jones

Marion-Marguerite “Syd” Jones, 87, passed away at 7:22pm on Monday, October 14, 2013 at her home. Marguerite was born on December 1, 1925 in Marion to Hobart Freeman and Myrtle Mae (Sims) Quertermous.  She married Robert C. Jones; he preceded her in death in 1979. Marguerite was the owner/operator of Syds Clothing Store in Marion for 33 years. She was a member of Third Baptist Church in Marion. Survivors include: Sons: DeWayne C. Jones Robert D. Jones and wife Linda L. Grandchildren: Brandon N. Jones DeWayne M. Jones and wife Connie DeEric S. Jones and wife Jane L. DeLynda K. Whitehead and husband Leo Steven Moskop Great grandchildren: Brockton Whitehead Bryson Whitehead Koalton R. Jones Zackary Smith Sister-Lorene Goessman and husband Bill She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two infant sons. Private family services will be held.
