Margaret Hartwell MARION-Margaret Hartwell, 87, of Marion passed away at 3:50 PM, Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Fountain Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Second Baptist Church in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with the arrangements. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church; envelopes will be available at the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Margaret was born on August 17, 1921 in Marion to Clarence and Sarilda (Parson) Durall. She married Gwendol Hartwell in 1938 in Jackson, Missouri; together they shared 63 years of marriage before his death on February 18, 2001. Survivors include son, Neil Hartwell of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Jennifer Hartwell of Marion; grandsons and their wives, Ryan and Sara Hartwell and Kyle and Billie Hartwell; great grandchildren, Olivia, Grace, Colton and Maggie Hartwell; brother, Maurice “Mac” Durall; sister, Lois Burks; nieces, Patricia Lynn, Sandra Kibler, Julie Choate and Gina Bubonavich; and nephews, David Durall, Billy Burks, Jeff Burks, Jerry Bell and Harold Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and sister, Kathlyn Bell. Margaret was a lifetime member of Second Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for over 60 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She loved her grandsons and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all.
