Goreville-Madalyn E. Escue, 83, of Goreville passed away at 3:38 PM, Friday, January 5, 2007, at Herrin Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, January 8, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Dr. Ron Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Goreville; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Mrs. Escue was born September 27, 1923 in Hallidayboro, Illinois to James and Stella (Wynn) Addison.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Harold and Sharon Escue of Burton, Michigan; daughter and son-in-law Sue Ellen and Ronald Jackson of Flint Michigan; daughter and son-in-law Judith Ann and Rick Nannie of Goreville; son and daughter-in-law James and Kimberly Escue of Marion; grandchildren Elizabeth and husband Edward Adams, Cynthia Baker, Lucas and Emily Nannie, Amber and Amanda Escue; great-grandchildren Katie and Andrew Ford, and Conner Adams; brother James Addison of OâFallon, brother and sister-in-law Edgar and Lou Addison of Herrin, sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Bill Woodhouse, sister Shirley Parker of Energy, sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Jerry Strope of Galesburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Elaine Ellen West; brother Howard Lee Addison; and the father of her children Dallas Escue.
Mrs. Escue was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Goreville and active in the Ministerial Alliance.
