Mable Grant

Herrin-Mable A. Grant, 87, passed away on December 2, 2013 at Frankfort Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in West Frankfort. Mable was born on November 8, 1926 in Fergus, Illinois to Harry H. and Lena (Sanders) Grant. Mable graduated from Johnston City High School in 1944. She was formerly employed by Smoler Brothers. Mable was a beautician and taught at Marion Beauty School. She worked at Irvin’s Flowers Shop for 25 years and attended Fergus Free Methodist Church. Survivors include: Sister-Esther Hazel of Fergus, IL Nieces and nephews: Kimbra Hazel Lange Kathie Brush Lana Peck G. Gregory Hazel Dallas Grant She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Claris “Tot” Grant, Laverne Grant “Cubbie”, Edward “Eddie” Grant and William “Bill” Grant. Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will also be on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 11am until the time of services at the funeral home.
