Mabel Irene Moss LAKE OF EGYPT-Mabel Irene Moss, 76, of the Lake of Egypt passed away at 12:59 PM, Thursday, May 17, 2006 in Johnson County. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Howard Strunk and Reverend Doug Bridgeman officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Church; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Moss was born on July 22, 1929 in Union County, Illinois to Dan and Velma (Hancock) Sullivan. She married Dan Clyde Moss on October 18 1947 in Jonesboro, Illinois; he preceded her in death on June 28, 2004. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ira Tripp, Sr. of Cobden; son and fiancé, Mike Moss and Alana Murphy of Marion; grandchildren, Ira, Jr. and Lisa Tripp of Buncombe, Dustin and Adrienne Tripp of Creal Springs, Michele Moss of Wisconsin, and Terri Jean Moss of Carbondale; great grandchildren, Michael, Logan and Alexis Tripp and Madison Hileman; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Bonnie Sullivan of Anna; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Richard Randol of Marietta, Georgia and Mary and Richard Howell of Glenview. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brother, Isaac Sullivan. Mrs. Moss was a homemaker and loved to quilt. She was a longtime and very active member of Bethlehem Church. She was past treasurer of Bethlehem Church. She had been previously employed by Olin Industries. She loved to spend time with family and friends.
