Luvenia Roberts MARION-Luvenia Roberts, 76, of Marion passed away at 3:33 AM, Monday, October 16, 2006 at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 20, 2006 at Paul’s Chapel Baptist Church in Marion with Pastor Roger Holmes officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Friday, October 20, 2006 at the church. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Paul’s Chapel Baptist Church; envelopes will be available at the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Roberts was born January 17, 1930 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Charlie and Irene (Nailey) Brown. She married Walker Roberts on August 31, 1946; he preceded her in death on March 15, 1991. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Carl Swanson of Marion; grandchildren, Jarrett Smith, Jarrell and Pam Smith, Donald Swearegene, Robert and Vanessa Swearegene, Antoine Swearegene, Adrian Swearegene, Luvenia Swearegene, Melody and Charles Smith and Elizabeth Hunt; sixteen great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mary Roberts; sister-in-law, Daisy Willingham; and many cousins and aunts. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Amanda Swearegene; and grandchildren, Delisa Swearegene and Maryann Swearegene. Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Paul’s Chapel Baptist Church in Marion where she was a church mother. She formerly worked fro Borg Wagner Factory in Frankfort. She loved Jesus, her family and people. She always had a sincere smile for everyone.
