Luella Jeanette Carlton MARION-Luella Jeanette Carlton, 95, of Marion formerly of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away at 8:17 PM, Monday, April 20, 2009, at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2009 at Langford-Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Pastor John Miles of the First Methodist Church of Jonesboro, Arkansas officiating. Visitation will from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at City Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 204 Halfway Rd., Marion, Illinois 62959. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with local arrangements. Mrs. Carlton was born October 26, 1913 in Parkin, Arkansas to Ross and Gertrude (Weeks) Dillard. She married Barney Carlton he preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter, Evelyn Barber of Marion; grandsons, Kort and wife Brenda Barber of Marion and Kade and wife Kenya Barber of St. Peters, Missouri; five great-grandsons, Sloan, Austin, Logan, Kaden, and Khaner Barber; niece, Ann and husband Gerry Hickman of Spring, Texas; niece, Barbara Parks of South Haven, Mississippi; nephews, Wallace Dillard of Buena Park, California, and Mike Dillard of Truman, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Barney; sisters Alberta Swain and Elbertine Coppage; and brother, Robert Dillard.
