Lucille McGuire PITTSBURG-Lucille McGuire, 86, of Pittsburg passed away at 6:00 PM, Sunday, April 2, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, south of Crab Orchard. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. McGuire was born on October 27, 1919 in Carbondale, Illinois to Eugene and Beaulah (Cato) Bonds. She married Curtis Lee McGuire on August 28, 1938 in Jackson, Missouri; he preceded her in death on November 9, 1995. Survivors daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Daniel Dunn of Pittsburg; son, Don McGuire of West Virginia; daughter, Becky Grimes of Marion; daughter, Rhonda Burnett of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Kevin, Bobby, Dawn, Lori, Greg, Shari, Tammy, Ray, Jason, Amy, Dusty, Emily and Andrew; great grandchildren, Ryan, Jennifer, Chad, Katie, Krystal, Nathan, Lindsey, Lacey, Taylor, Marissa, Kallie, Savannah, Johnna Shey and RaeAnn; great great grandchild, Isiah; and former daughter-in-law, Dolly “Peanut” McGuire. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Paul Eugene McGuire; daughter, Edna Ruth McGuire; four brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. McGuire was a longtime member of the Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church. She formerly worked as a cook for Pittsburg School, Marion Unit 2 and Ron’s Barbeque. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved to cook and spend time with her family.
