MARION -- Lucille B. Childress, 81, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at her home.
Lucille was born May 14, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Otis Peppers and Irene Russell. She married Willie Earl Childress, and he preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Bruce Fox officiating. Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Chil-dress, Michelle Johnson, Crystall Johnson, Robin Childress, Tony Childress and Randi Childress; great-grandchildren, Alisha Hartford, Eli Hartford, Lauren Meness, Gabel Hendreson, Hunter Fox, Haily Fox, Tyler Harris, Walden Hord, Shelby Hord, Hudson Hord, Isaac Bowen, Logan Bowen, Ariel Childress, Austin Beck, Mykaly Beck, Micah Childress, Mia Cooper, June Street, Emanuel M. Lucille was of Protestant faith. She enjoyed shopping.
She will be greatly missed.
