Lucille Brooks

Lucille Brooks MARION–Lucille Brooks, 92, of Marion passed away at 11:30 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Walter Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Webb Cemetery in Tunnel Hill. Memorials may be made to the Webb Cemetery fund; envelopes are available at the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Brooks was born on October 23, 1915 in Peoria, Illinois to Mary Frosco. She married Finas Joe Brooks on February 17, 1934 in Peoria; he preceded her in death in May of 1995. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Marylin Ridlen and JoAnn and Cecil Davis all of Marion; grandchildren, Kathern Lee Collins, Kelly LeeAnn Van, Clarence LeRoy “Buster” and Vickie Ridlen, Vicky and Dale Atwood, Lisa Davis, Tony and Becky Davis and Terri and Brent Simpson; great grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Nicholas, Bradley, Kyle, Harrison, Mallory, Halee, Scott, Haley, Jody, Bill, Jennifer, Christopher, Trevor, Grace and Trent; and two great great grandchildren. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Johnston City. She and her husband formerly owned and operated Brooks BBQ Restaurant at Moeller’s Crossroads and a produce store on DeYoung Street in Marion. She loved her family and she will be missed by all.
