Lucille Bailey CRAB ORCHARD-Lucille Bailey, 81, of Freeburg formerly of Crab Orchard passed away Friday, February 2, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 5, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery east of Marion. Mrs. Bailey was born January 4, 1926 in Crab Orchard, Illinois to Matthew and Grace (Hill) Graves. She married Burnett “Mickey” Bailey on August 9, 1942; he preceded her in death on June 2, 1981. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and David Merrell of Freeburg; granddaughters, Tammy and John Schwartz of Freeburg, Davina Merrell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tally and Joe Taylor of Pittsburg and Mikki Owen of Freeburg; great grandchildren, Isabella and Enzo Schwartz, Ainsley Merrell and Robert Taylor; and her best friend, Sue Swan of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant son, Ronall Jean Bailey; and daughter, Judith Kay Bailey.
