Marion-Lindberg “Lindy” James Fleming, 83, passed away at 4:30am on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Lindy was born on March 10, 1932 in Chester to Awthal and Pearl (Hahn) Fleming. He married Norma Biggs in Chester on August 26, 1954. She survives of Marion.
Lindy served in the US Army and was a Korean Veteran. He enjoyed watching sports. Lindy loved the Lord and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all.

Children-Teri Murrow (John) of Marion and Kevin Fleming of West Frankfort
Grandchildren-Isaac Summers, Andy Murrow, Alisha Oakley, Caitlin Summers, Casey Rolape and Levi Summers
Great Grandchildren-Halle Oakley, Colten Murrow, Landon Oakley, Audrey Murrow, Will Rolape, Corbin Murrow and Ben Rolape
Son-in-law-Mark Summers of Herrin
Several nieces and nephews
Lindy was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Judy Summers and brother, Paul Fleming
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11am at Christian Covenant Church in Carterville with Pastor Andy Johnson officiating. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10am until the time of service at the church. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
