Linda Jean Zayed (Owen) beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on November 5, 2024, in DuQuoin, Illinois at the age of 64. She was born on April 29, 1960, to Robert and Nancy Owen (Natts).
Linda is survived by her two children Jeanette Nation and Heather Zayed (Steven Bragovan), two granddaughters and siblings Robert Owen Jr., Michael Owen, David Owen, Betty Stelmaszek, and Lilly Owen along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A woman of simple pleasures in life, Linda enjoyed crocheting, watching cartoons, listening to music from the 60-70s era, and spending time with her children and family. Linda was known for her sharp wittiness and unique sense of humor; she was unfiltered and honest to those who knew her well. She was a devoted caregiver with helping to care for her siblings and unending dedication to her children. Her love knew no bounds with her devotion to being a certified nurse's aid for nearly twenty years and supporting families of residents who passed during this time. She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for her family.
Linda Zayed’s passing was a result of a hard battle with dementia and acute kidney failure. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
