Linda Winchester

Linda Lou Winchester, 80, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Linda was born on March 13, 1941 in Marion to Otis and Altha (Thompson) Perry.  She married Gary Winchester on April 10, 1959 in Marion.  He preceded her in death on October 14, 2017.

Linda graduated from Marion High School in 1959.  She began working at the County Clerk’s office on the square until 1969 when she stayed home to care for her children.  Once her children were raised, she worked at Sam’s Club for 10 years.  Linda was a pastor’s wife for 47 years.  She enjoyed going to church at McKinney Chapel Baptist Church, sewing and watching her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Rosetta DeMent and Glenna Perry; brother, William Perry.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:30am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating.  Burial will follow at McKinney Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Residential Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
