Linda Samples-Beard

Dongola-Linda Samples-Beard, 65, passed away at 8:05am on Monday, October 21, 2013 at her home. Linda was born on August 15, 1948 in Marion to Charles Randolph and Lula Mae (Cook) Samples.  She was formerly married to Earl King and Tony Beard. Linda worked at Norge in Herrin for many years.  She loved to rescue dogs.  Linda liked to play pool and listen to Billy Ray Cyrus and Elvis Presley music and just enjoyed life. Survivors include: Daughter-Sherri (King) Stone and husband Bill Granddaughter-Kristen Kay Rendleman Special to her heart were: Bo King Conan King B.J. Glenn Matt and Melissa Rider Debbie Turner Sister-in-laws-Gloria Samples and Diane Samples Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Chris King; brothers, Terry Samples, Charles Ray Samples and Jackie Samples. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
