Linda Darlene Marshall

Linda Darlene Marshall, age 64, of Goreville, Illinois,  passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Herrin Hospital. 

Linda was born June 26, 1957 in Joliet, Illinois, a daughter of Earnest and Cynthia (Vaughn) Jolly. She married the love of her life, Vernon E. Marshall on June 22, 1974.  He preceded her in death on June 23, 2021. Together, they shared 47 years of marriage.  

Linda had worked as a caregiver, specializing in elderly care.  A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Linda will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Survivors include-
Son- Brad (Lindsey) Marshall
Daughter- Michelle (Buster) Thompson
Granddaughters- Taylor Cross, Morgan Cross, and Kenadee Marshall
Sister- Sherry and Fred Martin
Sister- Joyce McMillan
Sister- Brenda Jolly
Brother- Gene (Irma) Jolly
Sister- Delores (James) Kerstein
Brother- Clyde (Sheila) Jolly
Sister- Diane Beers
Sister- Tammy Wilson
Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, and Great Nephews all of whom Linda loved dearly

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and mother-in-law and father-in-law- Evelyn and Earl Marshall.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022, 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Darren Clark officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home in Goreville is assisting the family with final arrangements.
