Linda Holman

Linda L. Holman, age 71, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at her home.

Linda was born May 20, 1951 in Creal Springs, Illinois, a daughter of Clifford and Louise (Jackson) Hart. Linda grew up in Creal Springs and graduated Creal Springs High School.  She worked briefly at Allen's in Herrin.  After her first marriage, she and her husband moved to Joliet, IL for a few years and returned to Marion.  She stayed home and raised her children.  She re-married to Donald Holman and together they ran Marion Cab Company for many years.  Linda enjoyed sewing, playing games on the internet and reading her Bible.   

She is survived by two daughters, Traci L. (Jeff) Boatright of Marion, IL and Melissa A. Duncan of Herrin, IL; five grandchildren, Ashley Boatright, Tiffany Boatright, Jeffrey Boatright, Courtney Shadowens, and Ryan Shadowens; several great grandchildren; and three siblings, Mary Simpson of Carterville, IL, Teresa Hart, and Edward Hart of Herrin, IL.   She is preceded in death by her second husband Donald Holman; one grandchild, Brittany Boatright; her parents, Clifford and Louise Hart; and three siblings, Donna Girtman, Sue Hart, and Robert Hart.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 7th, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Blue funeral home in Marion, Illinois.  Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022, 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home with burial will following at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. 

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
