Lillian Ruth Smith

Goreville-Lillian Ruth Smith, 94, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at her home. Lillian was born on July 21, 1924 in Goreville to Charles Edward and Alberta (Gray) Rodgers. She married William R. Smith on December 23, 1940.  He preceded her in death on February 9, 1991. Survivors include: Daughters: Barbara and Don Cochrane of Goreville Brenda Gurley of Goreville Grandchildren: Kim and Larry Vaughn of Goreville Tonya and Jim Sears of Charleston Mark Gurley of Marion Shannon and Mike Odom of Goreville Erik Loeh of Murray, KY Kenya Gurley of Goreville Chad Gurley of Atlanta, GA Great grandchildren: Justin and Rachelle Vaughn of Buncombe Alexandria and Tom Waters of Vienna Kelsie Odom of Goreville Taylor Odom of Goreville Great-great grandchildren: Trey Vaughn Kaden Vaughn Kailee Vaughn Braelynn Waters Adlee Waters She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; three sisters and son in law, Larry Gurley. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2pm at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Rev. Martha Rodgers will officiate.  Blue Funeral Home in Goreville is assisting the family with arrangements.
