Lillian Marlene Bailey

July 18, 1947 — August 22, 2016

Marion-Lillian Marlene Bailey, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Parkway Manor. Marlene was born on July 18, 1947 in Williamson County to William “Bud” and Mildred (Hastings) Wharry.  She married Jerry Bailey on August 6, 1966 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Paulton.  He survives of Crab Orchard. Marlene was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and the Marion VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a special ed teacher at Johnston City and Marion schools.  Marlene loved going to rummage sales, picking antiques, spending time with her kids, and going to sporting events.  She loved to sing to her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include: Children: Michelle and Greg Chamness of Crab Orchard Chad and Tricia Bailey of Goreville Cory Bailey of Crab Orchard Grandchildren: Kasie and Ian Ham Jessica and Ross Hill Jamie Bailey Dylan Bailey Katelyn Bailey Cory Bailey, Jr. Great grandchildren: Jaycee Hill Hayden Ham Sisters: Colleen and C.W. Mausey of Crab Orchard Carolyn and Bill Cooper of Coffeen, IL She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother at birth Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Tim Ozment and Rev. Roger Russell officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the family c/o Jerry Bailey and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N.
