Lillian Beatrice Zoeller MARION–Lillian Beatrice Zoeller, 88, of Marion passed away at 5:45 AM, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Parkway Manor in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Dickerson officiating and David Zoeller giving the eulogy. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 8, 2009 at funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Zoeller was born on April 27, 1921 in Goreville, Illinois to Harrison and Lena (Dunn) Adams. She married William W. Zoeller on May 18, 1950 in Marion; he preceded her in death on April 3, 2006. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David and Terrie Zoeller of Marion; grandsons, Dustin Zoeller of Chicago and Christopher Zoeller of Marion; sisters, Vera and Albert R. Grill of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Joan Cassidy of Morris and Sue Ellen and Jack Keller of Marion; several nieces and nephews including Adam Keller and Mindy Campbell to whom she was like a grandmother; and great nephew, Israel David Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Dianne Zoeller; sister, Doris Cross; and brothers, Charles, Carl, Hosea, Dale, Frank and Dennis Adams. Mrs. Zoeller was a longtime active member of Marion First Baptist Church where was a Sunday school teacher and member of the Joy Singers. She was a teacher and began her teaching career in rural Johnson County and Williamson County Schools. She finished her teaching career with the Marion School system retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Marion Rebekah Lodge, Marion BPW, Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority and was recognized by the Marion Chamber of Commerce as “Woman of the Year”.
