Lee Roy Walker MARION-Lee Roy Walker, 87, of Marion passed away at 11:10 AM, Sunday, February 15, 2009 at James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa, Florida. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend David Schlag officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Marion V.F.W., Marion American Legion, and the National Guard. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Walker was born September 19, 1921 in Grassy, Williamson County, Illinois to Edgar and Esta (Cash) Walker. He married Patricia Ann Byrn on March 8, 1942 in Jackson, Missouri she preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughters, Anna and Harold Rector of Polk City, Florida and Mary King of Marion; son, Lindell and Diane Walker of Sebring, Florida; grandchildren, Darla and Randall Horner, Stacey and Michael Brown, Becky King, Shane Walker, Richard Walker, and Joshua Walker; great-grandchildren, Jamie Walker, Joshua Brandon Walker, Nicole Walker, Ashley Brown, and Benjamin and Tina Walker; sisters, Marie Fisher of Herrin, Flora Mae Fowler of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and grandson, Aaron King. Mr. Walker was a carpenter. He was a member of Parish Park Baptist Church in Marion. He loved to go camping and fishing.
