Leanne Pate MARION-Leanne Pate, 61, of Marion passed away at 3:30 PM, Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday June 21, 2010 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Victor Long officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Leanne was born on July 22, 1948 in Carbondale to Kenneth L. and Patricia J. (Hudgens) Pate. Survivors include her father, Kenneth Pate of Marion; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patti and Greg Tarrant of the Lake of Egypt and Lauralyn and Jeff Cima of Marion; nephew and nieces, Derek Cima, Devyn Cima and Alyssa Tarrant; aunts and uncles, Paul and Marvelene Pate, Dale and Marion Pate and Evelyn and J.B. Kuykendall; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother. Leanne was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. She earned a bachelors degree at Black Hills University. She worked as a librarian at Shawnee Correctional Center. She enjoyed reading, was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking, and she was a history buff. She enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews.
