Larry D. Sullivan GOREVILLE-Larry D. Sullivan, 71, of Goreville passed away at 3:41 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Brother Randy Jones, Reverend Jerry Schell, Reverend Jim Cockburn and Reverend Gary Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 8, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at McKinney Chapel Cemetery, south of Marion. Mr. Sullivan was born August 11, 1936 in Williamson County, Illinois to Charles and Mae (McAnelly) Sullivan. He married Betty Albright on May 12, 1956; together they shared 51 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Goreville; daughter and son-in-law, Pixie and Larry Vaughn of Anna; son, Stacy Sullivan of Goreville; daughter and son-in-law, Kam and Ron Harmon of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Shana and Mark Robertson of Creal Springs; grandchildren, Adam and Tiffany Vaughn, Heather Vaughn, Randy Robertson, Rachel Robertson and Chad Harmon; great grandchildren, Preston and Kaylee Thompson; sister, Margaret Fielder of Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Orpha Lee Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wayne and Richard Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was a member and deacon of McKinney Chapel Church and had a tremendous faith in his Lord Jesus Christ. He served as sexton of McKinney Chapel Cemetery for over 40 years. He worked in construction and was a member of the Laborers Local 577. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in his garden. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather; he loved his family deeply and will be missed by all.
