Marion- Larry D. Baysinger, 72, of Marion, passed away at 7:40 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his home.
Larry was born on November 21, 1943 in Marion to Kirby Everett and Dorothy F. (Rush) Baysinger, Jr. He married Phyllis Feurer on New Year’s Eve 1965 at Zion United Church of Christ in Marion.
Larry was a hardworking man who formerly worked as a barber at “Baysinger’s Barbershop”, a cattle farmer, and as a machine operator for Old Ben Coal for 21 years. He also helped his son Michael as a site observer for Baysinger Architecture in Marion and he owned and operated Tropical Snow in Marion.
He was a member and greeter at Zion United Church of Christ in Marion and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He enjoyed hunting waterfowl, rabbits and deer and fishing at the Marion Country Club. He liked to meet his buddies at McDonalds and tell stories and he enjoyed attending his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. He will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Zion United Church of Christ/ 930 West Cherry St/ in Marion. Pastor Jeff Holst will officiate. Visitation will be for 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Sunday at the church. Blue Funeral Home in Marion assisted the family with memorial arrangements.
