Marion-La Dora Deaton, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:20PM on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Heartland Regional Hospital with her family by her side.
La Dora was born on January 19, 1933 to Dow and Grace (Pritchett) Deaton. She married Joe Deaton on February 3, 1955. He preceded her in death in August 1999.
La Dora was a caring person and had a warm and beautiful soul. She kept herself busy cleaning and caring for others. She always put her needs last. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
LaDora retired from working at GTE Telephone after over 30 years of service.
She has four children, nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She loved all of her children so much and lived her entire life making sure she was there for them at times they needed her most.

Our mother would also want to include Ashleigh, her wonderful care giver for the last couple of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Deaton, her father Dow, and mother Grace.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at noon at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Joey Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
