Kenneth Baker

Marion, IL----Kenneth R. Baker, 58 of Marion passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Spectrum Health Center in Grand Rapids, MI, after experiencing a massive head injury while working. Memorial services for Kenny Baker are scheduled for Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Grange Hall Freewill Baptist Church in Marion, with Brother Kevin McNeely officiating, Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with the arrangements. A dinner for family and friends will follow the memorial service. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Kenny was born on April 21, 1954 to Bob and Joyce Baker of Marion. He married Dorothy (Zimmerman) Baker on August 10, 1972 in Marion, she survives. They shared 40 years of marriage. Kenny is survived by his wife, Dori Baker of Marion, children McKenzi Smith and Bryan Baker of Marion; grandchildren Kylee, Taya, Whitney, Jerin, and Brynne; mother, Joyce Baker; siblings, Jeff, Gary, Jimmy, Scott, and Cindy Brotherton. Kenny was a truck driver for Shawnee Express in Herrin, IL. He enjoyed tinkering on anything and everything, and took great pride and joy in his wife, kids, and grandchildren. He will be missed by many.
