Marion-Kathryn “Kathy” Rae Price, 62, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Kathy was born on December 13, 1952 in Carbondale to Ray & Reathel (Morris) Griffin. Kathy was an excellent waitress for many years and was very proud of opening her own restaurant. She enjoyed Elvis music and keeping a tidy home. She believed cleanliness was next to Godliness. Kathy was a loving mother and grandmother and in 2012 she dedicated her life to the Lord. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include: Daughter-Amanda Burks and husband Darrin Step daughter-Kendra Bearden Step son-Craig Sonneburg Grandchildren-Kiah, Kooper & Karter Burks Brothers and sisters-Janet Malone, Roger Hearn, Jodi Moore and husband Doc, Pam Wilson and husband Jeff, Sandy Small and Kim Cross and husband Doug Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Hearn and sister, Karen McGee It was Kathy’s wishes to be cremated. Private services will be held. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
