Kathryn B. Black

Kathryn B. Black, age 93, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Angel Acres in Marion, Illinois.

Kathryn was born February 04, 1930 in Williamson County, Illinois, a daughter of Cecil and Estel (Swan) Fox. She married the love of her life, Curtis Black on October 02, 1947 in Morganfield, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1993.

She is survived by two daughters- Yvonne (Jerry) Norris and Carol (Steve) Poole; four grandchildren- Jeremy (Allie) Norris, Jennifer (Gary) Turner, Amanda (Michael) Welsh and Aaron (Leah) Poole; and her great grandchildren- Jordan Turner, Emma Welsh, Kaelin Welsh, Washington Poole, and Sullivan Poole.

She is preceded in death by her husband- Curtis Black; her parents- Cecil and Estel (Swan) Fox; and four sisters- Virginia Davis, Loudene Blackman, Reathel Wilkins, and one infant sister.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant ( Shed ) Cemetery in Marion.
