Katherine Ilene Peters

Mrs. Peters was born on October 20, 1927 in Williamson County, Illinois to Tobe and Hattie (Perry) Violett. She married Therman Peters in September of 1948 in Piggott, Arkansas, he preceded her in death on June 13, 1970. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jack Roach of Severn, Maryland; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Gloria Violett of Marion; sister, Patricia Johnson of Springhill, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Paul Copher of Tuscon, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brother, William Violett. Mrs. Peters was a member and deacon of the First Christian Church in Marion. She retired from the Mark Twain Boat Factory in West Frankfort. She loved woodworking.
