Katherine Ada Cedar

Katherine Ada Cedar, age 65, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Herrin Hospital.

Katherine was born April 26, 1957 in Anna, Illinois, a daughter of Gerald and Sue (Martin) Glasco. She married the love of her life, David Cedar on October 08, 1994 in Crab Orchard, IL. Prior to her retirement, Katherine had worked as a school teacher.

She is survived by her spouse David Cedar of Marion, IL; one son, Sam Cedar; her father, Gerald Glasco; three siblings, Gerry Glasco, Mary Taylor, and Jeannie Eiler; her Step-Son, David (Kristy) Cedar, and grandchildren Lyla and Emmett Cedar. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sue (Martin) Glasco.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 25, 2022, 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Pastor Danny Ward officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.
