Marion Karen Kay Krivanko-Hill, 45, of Marion, passed away peacefully at 9:40 AM on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at her home after a long reoccurring battle with breast cancer. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Ralph Brandon officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends to express their sympathy will precede the funeral service starting at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Karen will be interred at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion following the funeral sermon. Memorial donations are suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Karen was born on Friday, September 9, 1966 in Marion to Robert John Allen & Lois LeDawn (Lear) Krivanko. Survivors include her mother, Lois; daughters, Kirstie Inholt of Anderson, IN and Lauren Hill of Crab Orchard; granddaughter, Emma Rutherford of Anderson; siblings, Keith Krivanko of Goreville, Robin McQuade of St. Charles, MO and April & David Kaeser of Weldon Springs, MO; sister-in-law, Marylen Hale Krivanko of FL; nieces & nephews, Amber Krivanko, Jillian & Jason Weems, Joseph & Cathy Hemp, Jacob Hemp, Jessica Effinger, Kristen Effinger and John Kaeser; great-nieces & nephews, Collin Krivanko, Sean Hemp, Riley Hemp and Sophia Weems. Karen was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; brother, Dennis Krivanko and uncle, Kenneth Arnold. Karen graduated from Unity Christian School in Energy and studied at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL. She accepted the Lord into he life and was baptized at Parish Park Baptist Church in 1992. Karen Kay considered her greatest treasures in life to be her daughters and granddaughter: Kirstie, Lauren and Emma.
