Carterville-Karen Sue Allsopp, 70, passed away at 8pm on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at her home. Karen was born on May 12, 1944 in Saline County to Robert and Alma (Young) Carrier. She married Dave Allsopp on November 28, 1986 in Paducah. He survives of Carterville. Karen was active in her community in Carterville and with local charities. She loved helping people. Survivors include: Husband-Dave Allsopp of Carterville Son-Ritchie Hanks (Karen) of Grandbury, TX Daughter-Alma Welch (Mark) of TN Daughter-Lori Holmes (Noble) of Creal Springs Son-Allen Hanks (Lorrie) of TX Son-Roger Hanks (Kathy) of TX Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins Two sisters and one brother She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Glenn, Gina and Steve. Karen’s wishes were to be cremated. No services will be held. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
