Julie B. Bowen MARION-Julie B. Bowen, 46, of Marion passed away at 5:10 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Robert McKnight officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Monday, August 21, 2006 at the funeral home. Graveside service will be Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Palestine Illinois with Reverend Tom Akers officiating. Memorials may be made to Central Illinois Kidney Foundation; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Miss. Bowen was born on August 30, 1959 in Carmi, Illinois to Robert L and Betty (Hout) Bowen. Survivors include her Mother and Step-Father, Betty and Jerry Perdun of Marion; Father and Step-Mother, Robert L. and Beulah Bowen of Palestine; Grandmother Lillie Hout of Robinson; Step-Grandmother, Lucille Bowen of Palestine; her extended family of brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents George E. Bowen and Leila Moore; Maternal Grandfather Lewis Hout. Miss. Bowen was an organ donor. She was of the Protestant faith and she loved attending church services at Fountains Nursing Home. Miss Bowen also loved to play card games with her grandmother and playing Bingo. She enjoyed watching cooking and comedy shows on television. Miss. Bowen also loved to use her computer and she was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. Despite her disability she embraced life to the fullest.
