Joyce Ann Rentfro

Joyce Ann Rentfro, age 72, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her home in Marion, Illinois.

Joyce was born October 04, 1951 in DeRitter, Louisiana, a daughter of Herman R. and Emma S. (Monger) Sears.  Joyce grew up in Marion and graduated Marion High School, class of 1969.  She married Dale A. Rentfro on September 02, 1973 in Marion, IL.  Joyce worked for her families business for several years at Marion Bowl.  She also worked as a Beautician and formerly worked at the Williamson County Courthouse in the Tax Assessor's office.  In retirement she enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes, knitting, sewing, and crocheting.  She was formerly a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Marion.  

She is survived by one son, Marty Dale Rentfro of Marion, IL and one brother, Jimmie Sears of Marion, IL.  She is preceded in death by her husband Dale Allen Rentfro; her parents, Herman Roscoe Sears Jr. and Emma Sue Sears; and one sister, Marti Jane Wall.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10 am at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Keith Owens officiating.  Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.  Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
