Marion-Joyce Chalden, 79, passed away at 12:56am at Herrin Hospital on February 26, 2014. Joyce was born in Chicago, IL, on February 18, 1935 to John and Ruth (Schmidt) Sawicki. She Married Kenneth Chalden, who survives in Marion, IL. Joyce worked with the humane society and loved all animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. Survivors include: Children: Wendy Harris of Herrin Bill Mosely of Herrin Grandchildren: Ruthann Nelson of Herrin Paul Nelson of Herrin Mandy Peterman of Michigan Great Grandchildren: Ehryn McMillan of Herrin Paigh Mcmillan of Herrin Peyton Peterman of Michigan Taylor Peterman of Michigan She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1^st, 2014 from 10am to 12pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL. A Memorial Service will follow the Visitation on Saturday at 12pm at the funeral home with Reverend Ivan Ryan officiating.
