Joshua R. McGinness Carterville-Joshua R. McGinness, 21, of Carterville passed away at 12:30 PM, Monday, January 8, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2007 at The Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Matt Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM, Friday January 12, 2007 at the funeral home. A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday January 13, 2007 at St. Johns Cemetery in Collinsville, Illinois with Pastor Ron Habermehl officiating. Joshua was born on January 8, 1986 in Herrin, Illinois to Rick and Kimberly (Zeigler) McGinness. He is survived his parents of Carterville; brothers Keith McGinness and his fiancé Kari Elsik of Farmington, Missouri, and Nicholas McGinness of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; uncles Tim Zeigler and Steve Zeigler of Collinsville, uncles and aunts Charles and Amy McGinness of Holiday, Missouri; John and Eva McGinness of Mitchell; Roger and Paula McGinness of Floral City, Florida, several great-aunts and great-uncles, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rose and Harold Zeigler and John and Betty McGinness, and uncle Rod McGinness. Joshua graduated from Brehm Preparatory School in Carbondale in 2004, he loved Country Music, working to restore cars, and he loved his family, friends, and his dog Sugar.
