Neale Stewart MARION-Neale Stewart, 84, of Marion passed away at 7:15 AM, Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Illinois Veterans Home in Anna. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Kenneth Kramer officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Mr. Stewart was born October 12, 1921 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Joseph and Mary Ellen (Evans) Stewart. He married Pollyann Graeff on November 10, 1956, she preceded him in death on January 24, 2001. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Louise Oster of St. Louis, Missouri; grandson, Andrew Oster of St. Louis, Missouri; and sister, Mildred Newton of Johnston City. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brother, Randall Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Marion. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Dorcas Shrine #61, Leroy A. Chapter #350 Order of the Eastern Star where he was past patron, and Masonic Lodge 89 AF & AM, and Carpenters Local 638.
