New Burnside-Joseph Martin Edwards, 53, passed away at 8:13am on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home. Joseph was born on January 14, 1961 in Marion to Cecil Clyde and Mary K. (Davis) Edwards. His hobbies included fishing, cookouts, family gathering and working on cars. He was a shade tree mechanic and loved spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include: Daughter-Amanda Marroy and James of Marion Step children: Shawn Byrley of Herrin Jason Byrley of Pittsburg Mother-Mary Edwards of Benton Grandchildren: Hayden Byrley Haley Byrley Zander Byrley Arianna Byrley Kryder Byrley Luca Byrley Leigh Ann Hampton Brandy Smith Great grandson-Bryant Greeney Brothers and sisters: Margaret and Carl Pritchett of Marion Shelby Brown of Chester Betty and Rick Newson of FL Leon and Emma Edwards of Pulley’s Mill John H. and Sherryl Edwards of Desoto Kathryn and Donald Cyr of MN Charlene Johnson of Christopher Fonda McBride of ID He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Robert Ray Edwards and Clyde D. Edwards. It was Joseph’s wishes to be cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
