John Hancock

  Marion-John D. Hancock, 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. John was born on September 16, 1952 in Harrisburg to Edgar and Esther (Pankey) Hancock. He married Linda Albright. John was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed weight lifting, fishing, spending time in nature and animals including his five cats. John was a good Christian man who loved his family. Survivors include: Wife-Linda Hancock of Marion Daughter-Mandy Monti of Benton Grandson-Gabe Price Brother-Jim Hancock and wife Darlene of Harrisburg Sister-Eileen Day of Harrisburg Mother-Esther Hancock He was preceded in death by his father and niece, Marieca Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11am at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Louis Fluck officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
