Marion- John E. Ruhnke, age 49, of Marion, passed away at 3:02pm on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
John was born in Flemington, New Jersey on August 13, 1967, the son of Louis and Dorothy (Bratsko) Ruhnke.
He married Lori Moon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on September 19, 2007. Together, they have three precious angels whom were awaiting their Daddy in Heaven.
John was a proud United States Army Veteran. He worked as a paramedic and EMS instructor, where he received numerous awards. He was very passionate about EMS and was known throughout many communities for his service. We grieve for our loss but celebrate the difference he made in so many lives.

John was also preceded in death by his father as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Blue Funeral Home.
