Marion John D. Wyrick, 52, of Marion passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 2:36 PM at his home. Memorial services for John will be on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Blue Funeral Home in Marion with friends and family officiating. Visitation will precede from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. John was born on Monday, December 8, 1958 in Sikeston, MO to John Walter & Ina (Brown) Wyrick; the precede him in passing. Mr. Wyrick is survived by three daughters; Lisa Zoll, Shelly Roby and Kelly Wyrick Downs all of Poplar Bluff; one son, John Wesley & Bobbie Jo Wyrick of Braggcity, MO; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn “Sissy” & Bill “Dude” McDonald of Morehouse, MO and Juanita Buchanan of Poplar Bluff; one sister-in-law, Sherron Wyrick of Fort Wayne, IN and numerous loving friends. John is preceded by his parents, John & Ina and one brother, James Wyrick. Mr. Wyrick had a passion for fishing and an adventurous streak that lead him occasionally to the riverboats. He found great joy in entertaining friends and family by throwing parties for those who knew him. He will be missed by all whose lives he graced.
