John Chlada

April 14, 1935 — March 30, 2014

Marion-John E. Chlada, 78, passed away on March 30, 2014, peacefully at home comforted by members of his family. John was born on April 14, 1935 in Chicago to Francis and Mildred (Sefcik) Chlada. He worked at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL for 27 years as a manager in their Physical Plant and Grounds Department. John enjoyed design and engineering. In retirement, he enjoyed Nscale model railroading. John is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Chlada of Marion, IL; son, Eric; daughters, Nadine (Stratis) and Christine (Vince); grandchildren, Stratis III, Alex and Sophia all from Downers Grove, IL. He will be missed by his constant companion Buddy. A memorial mass will take place in Chicago at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
