Marion- Joe Mack Stricklin, 60, of Marion, passed away at 2:43 PM, Monday, March 26, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Joe was born on May 30, 1957 in Marion to MacDonald and Betty June (Lambert) Stricklin. He married Andrea Barwick on June 7, 2002 in Marion.
Joe worked as a driver for Assisted Transport in Marion. He drove veterans to and from their appointments wherever they may be located. He was a strong Christian and was a youth evangelist for 20 years. He was member of a home fellowship group and played the drums and sang for “Psalm 150”, a local Christian band.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors; hunting, fishing and cooking out. His family enjoyed his fried fish and BBQ. He most enjoyed quiet time at home with his wife watching the arrival of the purple martens. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Step daughters- April Clayton and husband Dale of Marion and Emily Gile of Marion
Step granddaughters- Briana Swann and Saxton Kieneth of Marion and Elizabeth Swann of Marion
Step great granddaughter- Brynlee Kieneth of Marion
Sister- Pamela Sullins and husband Rev. Harvey Sullins of Spring Hill, TN
Nephews- Doug Sullins and wife Crysti of Spring Hill, TN and Brad Sullins of Spring Hill, TN
Great Nieces- Anna and Gloria Sullins
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 30, 2018 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Harvey Sullins will officiate. Burial will follow at McKinney Chapel Cemetery, south of Marion. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Friday morning at the funeral home.
