Joann Holmes MARION-Joann Holmes, 74, of Marion, passed away at 1:55 PM, Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2005 at Community of Faith Church west of Marion with Reverend Todd Greiner officiating. Visitation will be after 5:30 PM, Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Mrs. Holmes was born on July 7, 1931 in Williamson County, Illinois to Adolph and Eva Elizabeth (Douglas) Zoeller. She married Sherlock Holmes on March 5, 1971 in Marion, Illinois. Survivors include her husband, Sherlock of Marion; daughter, Vickie Hunter of Marion; step-daughter and husband, Kathy and Ralph Phillips of Birmingham, Alabama; step-daughter, April Leigh of Birmingham, Alabama; step-son and wife, David and Connie Holmes of Laguna Niguel, California; grandchildren, Hillary Enloe, Heather Hudgens, Holly Hudgens, Treavor O`Connor, Ryan O`Connor, Cari Woods and Cassi Angeloni; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Lillian Zoeller of Marion, Bob and Linda Zoeller of Marion, and Dan and Carolyn Zoeller of Louisville, Kentucky; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy McGee of Marion, Mary and J.W. Benton of Marion, Jeanette and Ron Bowman of Phoenix, Arizona, Carol and Nick Nickelson of Phoenix, Arizona, and Kay and Jack Holderfield of Marion; and many dear nieces and nephews. Joann was a member of Community of Faith Church, where she taught Children`s Church and led music. She formerly worked side by side with her husband in the day to day operations of their business, Sherlock Holmes Mobile Homes in Marion. She loved her grandchildren dearly. Her grandchildren were `The Light of her Life`. Though she remains in our hearts, she is now living with her Lord for eternity. Joann says, `I Love You` and Jesus does too.
